real world MPG

Looking at 2010 DC w/5.7 and for you guys using one as your daily driver, under normal conditions what are you seeing for MPG?

2017 CM 5.7. I get 16ish. Light foot, mix of traffic, suburbs, and highway. Goes up or down depending on the mix of driving. Bilstein 6112s in the front to level it, otherwise stock.

 

On my 3 mile commute to work the truck never really warms up and I average 9–11 mpg. On the highway I average 15 to 18 mpg, I can get a little better if I really keep my foot out of it. Also depends on how much weight I’m carrying in the truck as well as headwind. I’m sure I could get better in the city too but I love the sound of my exhaust.

Stock ride height and tires.

 

2010 5.7 CM 2WD. S&B intake Bully Dog regular tune, Bilstein 5100 & TRD sway otherwise stock. Here is my mileage log.

 

I've never reset in 8200+ miles. 13.5 mpg average.

Same short drive to work pretty conservative but I do also love the exhaust... Level kit... Stock tires about 70% maybe more is city driving

 

I'm getting 14.7 combined (mostly freeway). This is with gnarly tires and a 3" lift (speedometer corrected)

 

I've been getting between 14.5 and 15.5. Mostly city driving and I accelerate realllllllllly slow LOL

 

I only get 12.8 mpg on the city streets commute to work. Was 13.3 mpg on freeway when I did a road trip from Seattle to Idaho lol. Noticed a slight difference when I added the spray bed liner and Tonneau cover, it decreased by .2

 

It's odd the tonneau caused a decrease. My 2010 has a solid ARE. I wonder if it's causing a decrease also.

 

It makes sense that the tonneau would decrease gas mileage. driving with the gate down does as well. The aero on the truck is designed to have the air circle in the bed, disrupting that actually adds drag

 

My 17 Crew Max Limited is only 7 months and about 6,000 mileage today. When I first bought it I swear the MPG says 13.1 before the Tonneau was installed.

 

My average is 14.83, pretty much all city. Best was 18.73 and the worst was 12.95 hand calculated at fillups.

 

Wow! I would love to see my MPG go that high lol. If I leave my foot off gas the people behind me gets mad because I’m slow/speed limit

 

My 2008 DC 2wd 5.7 on highway tires got 16-17 mixed. Only mod was bilstein 5100.

 

I have a 2007 crewmax 4x4 4.7 3in leveling kit 33x12.50r18 and get 12mpg everytime highway and stop and go doesn't matter.

 

Check out my signature... I’m at 15.2 avg since I bought it in Sep ‘17. Very easy driver, stock size tires.

 

Update: Just got back from a family roadtrip. 5 states in 5 days, 2,948 miles later and about 9 trips to gas station. From my normal 12.7 mpg daily city commute my mpg improved 15.6mp and 17 mpg best driving I-90 Seattle > Portland > Boise > Cody > Spokane > Seattle
