    Ordered my sliders from @sdhq_offroad yesterday and I'm co steering leaving them raw and clearing them.. anyone done this or have thoughts on it?

    Are you thinking a clear powdercoat? I wanted to leave mine raw with some kind of coating to protect from rust, but at the same time I wanted something that could be easily touched up after they get scratched, chipped, etc. I ended up just spray painting them black.

    They'll be all rusty and look like crap in 6 months without anything.

    I was considering clear powdercoat. They will have something on them for sure lol just debating on black or just doing bare metal with clear.

    As soon as bare steel has any kind of moisture, it will start to show rust on the surface. i do like the idea of clear powdercoating. However, from my research, even this doesbn't prevent rust underneath the clear.
