I recently purchased a 2018 Tundra TRD Offroad. Love the truck incredibly, but I have noticed that when I take the truck out of park and just after slowly accelerating the first few feet, I feel and can hear a bit of a knock or bump somewhere in the front end. I can almost feel it thru the gas pedal as accelerating. This only seems to happen when first putting the truck in gear and moving out of park after my foot is on the gas for the first few feet.

Is this normal or something anyone else has experienced? I have avoided taking it back to the dealer as of yet because its quite a distance from my home.

Any advice or opinions are appreciated.

    Cheers

Its normal, it happens to all Tundras. I believe it's the ABS system check.

Same on my SR5 2018. Been there since day one. I have a little bit over 1,300 miles on it. Everytime I put it in D and drive off a few yards. Not sweating it at all. Love that truck.

It's very quiet, you have to really be listening for it.
