I backed into someone this morning. This is my first time causing an accident in 24 years of driving. :(

A little of this and a little of that.
That sucks. Did you mess up your baby or just his car? Hopefully insurance will take care of everything.. Good luck

Sorry man. I know that sucks. I’ve done it. I’m always so careful which makes it even more surprising to myself when I mess up. Get her fixed up and it’ll be in the past before you know it. Hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like the bumper just barely contacted the paint on your truck. You might want to think about just getting the paint touched up instead of the whole panel re-sprayed. It’s always noticeable after a few years what paint is original and what isn’t. Maybe just leave it until you decide to go aftermarket bumper. Or maybe see if you can just come up with the end piece.

I ruined my bumper end and impacted my rear fender also. And my tailgate won't open. Ugh....

    The like was to acknowledge.

Sorry for your misfortunes. Looks like just a small dent in your bumper. Hopefully insurances figures it all out and it's your last accident. Must have been thinking of that bumper ya posted in the tundra spotted thread

It's hard to tell from the picture but the impact actually pushed my rear fender forward.

Not making excuses - it was my fault but he wasn't parked in the parking stalls. He was parked in a questionable spot on the opposite side of the road. We were going down that street to turn around due to a traffic jam. The truck in front of me blocked my view of the Pontiac as I pulled into the stall. I immediately backed up and crunch......

My wife was hit in the same situation a couple of years ago. The insurance company called it half her fault for being parked where she shouldn’t be.

    You have my condolences.

A few years back in my old SUV. It was raining and they were doing construction across the street from my house. I was backing out of my driveway, looked in my left mirror, looked in my right mirror, neglected to look straight back, and backed into a Toyota Tacoma. He was parked in the middle of the street unloading bags of concrete. I didn’t see him. You get comfortable and have the same procedures backing out of your own driveway. Never really thinking someone is going to be parked in the middle of the street like an idiot. I still had to pay for though. From my understanding it’s because they were a stationary object. Yes they were double parked but they were there before I was. I guess that’s one of those gray areas.

I was pretty surprised. An 18 wheeler drug across the back passenger corner of her Sequoia. Smashed it in and broke all of the glass. She was parked in a no parking zone, but there was construction going on, so the place she was at told everyone to park there. Their insurance company put half fault on us, and our insurance company said it was the correct decision.
