This just started a few days ago, but the heater in the cab of my truck has lost its ability to get warm. Any ideas what might be causing this problem?

    Thanks,
    Paul

I just watched a youtube video on flushing a heater core, and I plan on trying that tomorrow. Thanks.

Yes. I took the part of the dash out and checked. I have replaced thermostat and flushed heater core twice, and still no heat. I have no leaks and have plenty of coolant. I checked the valve, and no leaks and it opens and closes as it should. I am completely stumped.

Knob feels fine. And the control valve is working properly. I took both hoses loose and watched the valve operate. Opens and closes just fine. Dampers are working too. Baffled.

my old silverado stopped working too. I found out the radiator had a leak at some point the previous owner put the stop leak stuff in it. It clogged the heater core. I replaced the core and it was new again.

No you need to look on the drivers side of the heater box down by the gas pedal. Turn the temp knob and see if the blend door is moving while u turn.

"Check Engine" light came on today. Code: P0770 indicates a fault in the A/T Shift Solenoid "E" (SL) Malfunction (Mechanical). What's the best/worst case scenarios here?

Solenoid isn't normally a shot tranny. I replaced mine and have had zero issues since. Make certain you have the same tranny (there is a sticker on the drivers side door frame that shows which model you have)

I used the below solenoids for my truck!

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01EOAWHNO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This listing states that these do not fit my transmission, however upon inspection of the solenoids I was able to confirm without a doubt these are correct. Been running them for over 6 months and no problems. For the price, it's not a bad place to start...
