    Hey guys and gals,

I would like to have some LED headlights without breaking down and getting HID kits. What do you guys use? Any cheaper alternative? Pics/price/links are greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!
    Hunter

I replaced the bulbs in my 2016 SR5 with VLEDS LED bulbs they are way better than stock bulbs, just follow the installation instructions on the clocking of the bulbs and you wont get flashed by on coming traffic.

A basic retrofit can be done for around $100-150

I've used DDM tuning products for many years without issue.

I ask because I’d like to switch all of the lights over to LEDs. I am going to install a LED bar in the lower grill portion in the next couple weeks and would like to match everything up with LEDs

HID retrofit headlights from Lightwerkz, Morimoto LED fog lamps from Lightwerkz. JL audio upgrade from Tech12Volts, Powdercoated factory black wheels local, ESP rear storage trays under seat, bed cover by BakFlip, bed liner, console safe, LED light bar by Back Country. Weathertech floor liners and ventshades. TRD rear sway bar. TRD Pro exhaust, TRD Skid plate, Fortin EvoOne Remote start from Anderson Electronics.
My vote is for the retrofit. Find someone local who does it or ship them off. Might even be able to get some online somewhere.

Just tossing HID or LED bulbs in a halogen reflector without proper setup ends up blinding everyone else and probably effects overall light output to the negative since you aren't focusing the light properly.

I see all the high school kids just tossing bulbs in locally and it's funny to see the actual light on the road, it's minimal at best.

Sorry no pictures. But I can say they are worth the price. "to me anyway" You get a 3 year warranty and customer service. I replaced the headlight bulbs, fog light bulbs and daytime running/turnsignal bulbs with the switch backs. I have no complaint's and like I said before if you clock the bulbs correctly for the head lights they are just fine good clean light with out blinding oncoming drivers.

I also upgraded the tail lights/running lights, turn signals and reverse lights. Including the high mount light and cargo lights all with VLED's.
The reason being is the light output and color are the same with all the bulbs and I dont have to try and remember or make a list of where I purchased them from If I ever have any issues.

I had a retrofit with components and projectors from DDM on my last truck. They performed great.

Left is stock 2017 headlights and right is 2018 led headlights, really a big difference in light output and look. Yes the headlights are expensive but it’s well worth it, i was going to do the spyder headlights but once I looked more into reviews and saw more and more people with the 18 headlights I changed my mind

I have a 2018 and I'd argue a higher end retrofit (LS430, S2000, TSX) will perform better than the 2018 stock LED
