These come in 2 finishes- powdercoat or bedliner. Does anyone have the bedliner finish? If so, thoughts?

It depends on how rough the bed liner is. I got the powder coat and you need to be careful getting out so you don't leave your skin on the running boards. If the bed liner is rougher than that I would not personally get them.

Powder coat can be a pain if it chips. Rust can creep in behind it if its not done well.

I’ve read elsewhere that the bedliner peeled on some lots. I also have experience with powdercoat steps and they seem to chip quickly and rust. I guess my question is is the bedliner on the Rhino steps Line-x? Or the Rhino brand I am guessing.

Ron, thanks so much for the write up and detail. Very helpful. Is it line-x, or a cheaper version? I also read your write up in the other thread, and was actually tempted to ask you to mod my brackets for me if I sent them to you! (With Compensation of course)Yours looks awesome and I love the mod. Do you still have them on? I am concerned about sticking out too much since I am stock width, but I also want door ding protection - I know, first word problems. I am torn between these and the RCI heavy duty side steps. Those are much pricier of course and don’t seem to offer door ding protection.

Hey Ron.I'm kinda bummed that you had cut up your RB20s.I like how much coverage they provide from door dings and rock chips.I have the powder coat version and I'm hoping they hold up well to the salt/brine that is so generously applied to our Vermont roads.9XVdTpp8RiWB3IK0KvwO7g.jpg0fxdU9ngRDSRgyjO+EiisA.jpg

Agreed with how much they stick out. I kinda wished I went with the RB10s. However, for me they give the kids and my height challenged wife a solid platform to get in. They also allow a good step for washing/drying/waxing. They also provide pretty good door ding protection, so at the end of the day I like them.

Not RB 20s but I have RB10s, and the bed liner coating has peeled pretty bad after 2 years. Not impressed... I like the style but obviously not happy with the longevity... just an FYI

The peeling issues with the bedliner coating is why I went with the powdercoat version. That and I got them on eBay for $330 shipped. Not a huge investment if they only last a few years.

Put the Go Rhino RB20 on this weekend - backwards, as others have done. Not bad indeed. Kids and wife like them. I think they stick out about an inch or so too much but on balance, for $330 shipped, can’t complain, at least until I find a slider out there I like that doesn’t break the bank or weigh like 1 million lbs.

I had to email them due to rust getting behind the powdercoat, some areas have flaked off as well leaving bare metal. I emailed 1 year since purchase for warranty claim and they sent a replacement without problems.. Only thing is that they sent one that's labeled for a Dodge (response was quick and they said the sizes are the same. Ok cool).. Then I open it and it came bedlined and my original was powder coat. I'm not really feeling the bedlined look on MGM so I emailed again.. To their credit, they are really fast in their respones....

Longer list than the wife needs to know about....
I have the RB10s with bed liner material. On my 2nd set both have peeled after about 6 months.
Go-Rhino is great to work with from a warranty perspective, but I wouldn't suggest the bed liner material, go powder coat.

I have the powdercoat RB20's. With all they issues people have with the Berliner coating, I was not going to take the risk.

Just installed RB20s; thanks for the recommendations to put them in "backwards" so they taper out to the back. I didn't realize how big/heavy the box was; it was also pretty beat up when it was delivered, but I will give credit to the padding that Go Rhino put in. As far as I could tell, nothing was damaged or bent.

I also have the RB20's. I've had them for almost a year now. I got lucky and found them on LetGo for cheap. I believe they were the powder coated version. I ended up having them Line-X'd, it's lasted pretty well.

I love these running boards. But I've decided to sell them and get something else. If anyone is interested PM me :)
They are like new powder coated/sold

my RB20's showed up today. man was that box ever beat to hell. not a good sign when the UPS man pulls up and you hear the tape gun being worked over before they bring the box out .. lol.

I took them out of the box to make sure the hardware was there. the boards are still wrapped in plastic so we will see if there is any damage tomorrow.
