2017 Tundra New Sound System

I honstly thought about it, but didn’t think it was gonna make a big difference ! But since you TOLD ME SO, I’ll do it!!

 

I think dynamating the roof will make a huge difference I can’t wait to hear how much quieter it will be especially going over bumps!

 

I'm not sure if its a "big steak makes the potatoes look smaller" kinda thing, but those speakers look small next to that crossover. They 6.5"?

 

yea, they're 6.5. the crossover in that set is massive.

 

I have mine done. I dont think it made it any quieter but i did it to remove a rattle from the subs. Dynamat every pillar you take off. I have the headliner, a,b, and c pillars, doors and back wall. Did not do the floor. I have the second skin luxury liner pro in my garage to add to the doors.

 

Yes! I did all the pillars when I did my headliner!!!

 

Does that eliminate the shotgun sound when unlocking the tailgate? I hate that noise lol

Almost done with one door!! Just test fitted my speaker and they don’t fit in the speaker adapter they are a little big

 

not really. I matted my whole tailgate and did not notice A big difference.

Hey guys I’m going to order some speaker adapters from *********! But I’m not sure what size cut out to go with?

 

Sorry man, all my stuff is buttoned up so I can't measure the opening in my adapter

 

It’s all good!!! Yeah I got the Schore Sat69 adapters and they fit the door great but the opening is too small for the speaker I have

 

How are you powering the dash speaker. I looked into that speaker since I have all JL's for the doors. I ended up just unhooking it.

 

The adapters I got from tech12volt did not have a lot of wiggle room for mounting the 6.5's I got.

 

I wondered that too, is there anyway to run just that speaker off an aftermarket head unit?

 

Yeah ********* custom cuts out the diameter !! So it should work!

 

I was thinking I could just power it from the headunit because it doesn’t take too much power! Crutchfield said the headunit would be fine!

This is what I got as well, front & rear. Perfect fit.

 

Easy to drill sails with proper size hole saw.

 

Even worse yet one of my doors had it installed with half of it stuck to itself so maybe 1/3 was actually sticking to the door...

Heck ya!! I was planning to go with a pioneer 8201 but once I saw this came out! This was the one

 

Did you get the Maestro and TOY2? If so can you post pics of the the wiring harnesses that came with it? I don't have one that is shown on the install and I wonder if I need it or not, also did you get an adapter for the factory usb/aux plug? I dont even know if it is needed or not but just in case I am going to connect one of the long usb's from the back of the deck and feed it through the blank plug where the parking assist would be. That way if the factory one doesnt work I still have at least one usb
