Ordered a new grill on Amazon. Picked up another Toyota emblem as well for it. Grill was $80 so no harm no foul if I decide to nix it. I just ordered Ko2's coming this coming Monday. So with those and the addition of my Black Trd Carve wheels I'm thinking this black grill should go well. It's a little different yet a little mean looking in my opinion.... Again.... My opinion. I know everyone has a different one keep in mind Anyway I noticed I am slowly going to the dark side theme wise that is. I think the silver and black theme should fit well on my Tundra. Pics to come when complete. Or shall I say somewhat more complete. It never ends.........

Thinking about maybe adding these and ditching the chrome one's. Or just putting on black 5.7 badges and pulling the rest. Not sure

I guess im thinking of the 2001-2004 Tacoma grill. Emblem is centered though.

    • Wanted to see what it would look like . I can't get my other Grille off the bolts and nuts are rusted and spinning . So I just sat it there to see what it might look like. I think once I put my Black TRD Carve's on and new ko2's coming tomorrow ? it'll look even better. As for now doesn't really matter because I'm going to have to cut those bolts off if I want to switch it out whenever that may be. I may even paint it silver to match my truck. Just leave the top piece black and paint the emblem black maybe. Who knows at this point.

Does it stick out more over the bumper than the OEM one? Post pics of the broken nuts that's preventing you from removing the oem

No it seems to sit the same. I actually ordered all new nuts and bolts but existing ones are rusted together and just spinning when I try to loosen them. Thinking they will have to be cut off some how.

I am not a fan of blacked out grille/surround. This particular one I do like. I would keep the chrome part chrome though. It sort of breaks the grille in a nice way, I think.

Yes. I think it looks pretty cool with black grille/surround.

Any more progress with loosening the bolts?

Have not even attempted. When I find some time. Still not sure if I will put it on. I have been kicking it back and forth.
