I just had my 2018 Tundra 4WD illegally towed in my parking lot outside where I live. They did a reverse tow and had my front two wheels on the ground. Is there anything I need to be concerned about? (front differential, transfer case, drive shaft, etc)

    Thank you for your help!

Check page 543 of owners manual - Rollbakc is the only approved way unless dolly is used.

I just dropped it off at the dealership. They're checking the whole system. Thanks for y'all's input.

It's about 6-8 miles from my apartment to their impound lot depending on the route they took.

I'm a resident at the complex and parked in parallel spot (that I've been parking in for the past 9 months with this truck and my old Sequoia) with my bed extending past the line about 3 feet (the space behind me is not a parking spot). There is no assigned parking or even parking permits. Claimed I was double parked and obstructing other vehicles. Earlier that afternoon, I had a note on my windshield threatening to tow my truck and being the stubborn hard headed guy I am, I didn't move my truck, but I did take photos just in case. In hindsight, I should've just moved my truck.

Photo 1 - 3 ft from the car parked in front of me:

Photo 2 - Not blocking walkway or other vehicles behind me

Photo 3 - ample space behind me (which isn't even a parking spot).

They should get the ass hat in front of you for crowding the edge of the spot. You would look like a dick if you pulled up on his ass. And they probably wouldn’t even move their car to get stuff out of their trunk they would just lean on your truck. Sounds like somebody has it out for you.

Update: Got my truck back from the dealership this evening and they didn't find anything wrong with it. I feel like I dodged a big bullet on that one.

Ended up getting a refund from the towing company as my property manager complained to them on my behalf. Turns out one of the other building owners was the one who called to get it towed. Good thing I will be moving out of this place in 2 weeks. Thank you all for your input!
