pop off the inner panel and heat the ding with a heat gun. Then wack that thing from the inside out and it should pop out. ! ;)

It sounds like the dent guy has a decent reputation if you've seen his impressive work around town, so that alone would make me feel good. I'd rather pay a little more for someone like that than take a chance with someone cheaper with no reputation. Good luck!

Looks like it was hit by a baseball. If you want to try a cheap way, there is a dent puller that uses an epoxy to secure the puller to the dent. Then you use the puller to remove the dent and a remover to release the epoxy. Wish I could remember the name. If it doesn't work, your only out a few dollars and can get it fixed at a body shop.

At $300 thats a good price, its alittle to deep maybe foe paint less. Until then here is some classic entertainment.

thank so much @Baldmonkey22 . i appreciate you taking the time to just sign up to post this. wow thats quite a drive for me. especially in a tundra, it will end up costing me just as much in gas. lol. i kid but i appreciate your input.

for what its worth ... here is the guy i am talking about. a lot of local people use him and rave about him. so $300 sounds very reasonable and is the consensus. i will post images after i allow for it in my "MGM MODS piggy bank".

So here is the final end to my "damn ding" dilemma.

BIG PROPS TO @yoneytan FOR SENDING ME TO HIS CONTACT. I CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH MAN!

He came out to my work today in Glendale and removed that damn ding. Below are the results and did it for less than half what i was quoted from my first guy. I will keep him in my contacts and recommend him to all my friends going forward.

He even cleaned a small ding that is now non-existent on my tailgate. Unfortunately I have no before pics of that. Cheers!!!

Any Socal guys need a contact PM me. :)

No worries man, glad to help. I knew he’d come through for you. He did my truck and my AMG and both turned out perfect. Unfortunately after just a few weeks I now have a new dent on my AMG from when I took it for service at the dealer. They offered to have it removed but I refused as I don’t trust just anyone so will have him take care of it. Anyway, glad it worked out and if anyone else needs his contact let me or tinman know.

Great job. The one thing I've learned is never buy a new vehicle if there is something you don't like. Color, options, etc. I bought a car years ago that had everything except the color. Every time I wrote the check for the car payment, all I could think of was it wasn't the color I wanted. Drove me nuts. That lasted a couple years before I sold it and bought another car, but one that was exactly what I wanted.

For a used car, you don't have that option, but for a new vehicle you do.

sorry to hear about your AMG getting dinged again. I, of course, assume that the dealer will cover the cost and its a win win situation for them since your guy is very talented and damn right affordable!!!! :hattip:

Repair looks great! I was skeptical it would turn out so well.

It's called Super White and I was looking for white. It doesn't show the dirt as much. Cooler in the summers we have around here. Matches my 4Runner. Paint doesn't show fading as much as the bright colors do after a few years in the sun. If it's any consolation, my cars are silver/gray/platinum.

The only two other trucks they had optioned the way I wanted were Desert Storm Brown and Portuguese (fire engine) Red.

If they hadn't had a color I liked, I was going to another dealership an hour away.
