I know, I know its not the cool thing. But I had a topper on my last truck and the convenience was outstanding. Road trips with just chucking the stuff in the back and not tying things down or tarping. My tools were more secure too. I found this old man topper option. With the light bar across the front I think it looks pretty good. Any thoughts?

So many say that topper are for older folks. I personally do not think so. Can't beat the functionality of a topper. I would definitely get the roof rack on the topper though.

I've really been wanting one like that. They look good. And even better with a lift and off-road bumpers

I use one during the winter. Couldn't live without it Nov-April. Nice for security of winter gear and if I take the dogs anywhere. In the summer I hate having it on. Feel like it's in the way but will put it on for road trips etc

See OP, look at all of our badass trucks!!!

Having a topper for me is a necessity. That is where my dogs hang out, my gear dry when needed, and sometimes yourself dry or cool. Those really low sitting lawn chairs work great with these toppers in the summer.

Softopper is in Colorado. I have driven up to Boulder 4 times to get one. Never an issue with durability. image.jpg

I'm considering a topper for a 2006 Tundra I'm considering. Currently have a 96 T-100 with a leer on it. Yes........I am a old fart but have a young mind still! LOL!! What kind of price range are new ones that would be color matched to my possible new addition? I'm also considering a folding tonneau as a lesser priced alternative. I apologize if I'm trolling with my question.

Softoppers are great! I can swap the tonneau out for it and be ready for a quick overnighter in a matter of minutes-

Cost is around 1100-2000+ depending on what you want. You may get lucky on Craigslist and find a topper that is already the color of your 06.

    Good luck.

I had my first topper on a toyota truck in high school in 1981, can you say lots of privacy ;). It never occurred to me it was an old man's device. They have LOTS of benefits and a good one will run ya about $1500 for a full size truck.

Mine was $758 with tax. Had a hard top on my Taco. Was great, but not easy to take off/on when needing to carry bigger loads. Loved the security of being able to lock it and was going to put a rack on top. Never did cause I moved up to Tundra. Love that I can have softtop on/off in 5-10 mins; and stores easy.

    Hi
I just finally found a color matched Century cap for my 2004 Double Cab. It took me over a year to find one that was the right color. I paid $500 for it, which I thought was a good price. I had an UnderCover bed cover (which incidentally is for sale) on it, which I really liked, but I wanted more room out of the weather than the UnderCover bed cover offered.

Texbambam, can you post or pm me the model/options and approx price for that topper. Your hard side doors are exactly what I'm looking for.
