Hey everyone, just did my first oil change. I noticed a few things that I’m questioning. I ordered the correct new metal oil filter housing to replace the plastic one. I noticed the middle section doesn’t match with the stock filter housing. Is this normal?

And then I noticed the number on the actual filter doesn’t match up with the part number. Same dimensions as the old filter. Just curious if this is normal too..

You need to swap the tube from the plastic one over to the new aluminum housing. The filter, I’m unsure of.

as 15whtrd said, you have to swap the guts. use care bending the metal ears as to not break them.

that filter matches the part number of the filter i bought from the dealer when i bought a case of them.
