So I'm about to drop a bit of change on my truck on suspension upgrades. Would this money be better spent upgrading to a pro or upgrading the current setup? Pros and cons? Thoughts and opinions?

Throw some KINGS or FOX shocks on it for way less and call it a day.

I'm really leaning towards the crewmax pro... I think the determining factor will be how much they allow me trade on my truck..

I love the pro’s suspension, but it’s going to wear out . I’m at 30,000 miles and there still good and I do a lot of wheeling and it’s holding up pretty good. But when it’s time I’m going Fox or Kings.

That's kinda what I'm on the fence about. I got a steal on some rear fox shocks and shackles. If I upgraded to a pro I wouldn't do anything except a set of wheels and tires. But I feel like I'd be paying alot of money just to own a "pro"

The huge difference is the Pro has an incredibly supple/smooth ride right out of the box.

Well you have a 17, are you looking @ a older Pro. Why not wait till the new Pro comes out. It has the Fox shocks and will do anything you need it to do. Makes no sense to go with a older model Pro , when a upgraded Pro is coming out this fall. You've got some guy's complaining about not having a rear locker, well buy an aftermarket. You start adding all of these components, next thing ya know the Pro is @ 60k + and now were complaining about price. Get the new Pro, just my .02:cool: Sorry for the rant:eek:

If you like granular aesthetics like the bed stamps and TRD interior that are specific to Pro that you can’t really add afterward, and don’t plan to change the Pro suspension, I’d wait for the 2019 as well.

There is no 2018 Pro, so it be 2017 with the old Pro grille and Bilsteins, unless you mean the 2018 TRD Sport which is not a Pro, the new one coming out with Fox suspension and Rigid fogs.

Unless you want the CM or really want the Pro, I'd keep the current vehicle and upgrade the suspension. If the trucks aren't paid in full, the interest payments start over again.

I wouldn’t be so excited about the 19 Pro....you will pay a premium even more so than before and also you won’t be able to “order” one like before

I wanted a Pro back in 2015, no one would make a deal. I got a Limited DC and added pro exhaust and shocks last year. I still came out cheaper than Pro, and love the ride and sound. Upgrade what you have. You will be happier in the long run. My Tundra is a DD and I only use my truck at beach and a couple of hunting trails, shocks should last me a very long time. 19 Pro’s are going to be $$$$$$

I can’t follow this thread. Did a bunch of posts get deleted?

Anyway, keep your truck and upgrade the suspension. You are tossing money away big time by buying a PRO. Don’t get me wrong, I like the PRO but I did not buy one right away so no way am I taking a hit on my truck and then paying premium for a PRO.

Agreed. Just keep your truck and mod it. You'll be in it for a lot less than spending the extra coin for the "Pro" label.

Which is what I decided to do. Went with the mid travel setup from @MCM haven't read a single bad review on them or ads. And for me that says alot.

I was also just replying in general to anyone thinking it. Never understood why guys want the “pro” so badly when it’s cheaper to upgrade an sr5 and have it perform better.

Mine was looking at it from more of a standpoint of throw a set of shackles and some cb spacers, wheels and tires and go cut loose. But, by the time you trade in, possibly get neg equity and pay the premium for a pro your back in for 10k more than you would be if i just completely bullet proofed my current truck.
