Ok tundra brothers I have finally decided on a set of rims for my cement girl. Have issues with tire size. The rims im getting are KMC KM561 slides black 20x8.5 with a 38 offset. The tires im debating are as follows.

    Toyo at2 275x55rx20
    Or
    BFG K02 285x55rx20

What I do not understand is why the tire prices from 275 to 285 width jump over $120 per tire? The price seems to be the same from 285 to 305. Im not wanting anything super aggresive thats why I have chosen rims as close to stock. I am open to suggestions so help me decide.

Toyo does make a 285x55rx20 but they are special order.

    Thanks

I wish I could tell you but it’s the reason I went with 275. I couldn’t believe the price difference.

Im in the same boat. I know the 285 will have a more aggressive look but the 275 are a better bargain. Its like 275 was the cut off and 285 and up price is dramatically increased and about the same

275's are in higher demand for most tire brands than the 285's. Same with 295's and 305's but the price difference not a lot of difference. 35X12.5x18 can get pricey too. Supply and demand.

Can anyone give me some insight with the tire size I can go with without rubbing? 285, 295 ?

I basically have an OME 3" lift in the front. 295's. No rubbing on cab mount but you will need to move plastic fender liner forward in front of the tire.

Is your truck stock height? Do you plan on lifting/leveling if it is not already? That will also play into your tire size. Why not look at the KO2's in the stock 275/55/20 size? Those are about $100 cheaper per tire than the 285/55/20 if you like that tire more.

There are tons of different options out there, just need more info about what you want/like, etc. Falken AT3W's look pretty aggressive for an AT, and have gotten awesome reviews, with a very reasonable price. Cooper AT3's as well.
