Got my lights retrofitted, follow all the directions, went to turn on headlights but hid not working. Running light and side marker all good. Before I reach out to the builder I want to makesure it’s not anything little that I missed. I connect the 3 prong in the harness to the driver side headlight than ballast to ballast, high bean to high bean. Hid is already plugged in to ballast. Grounded both sides.

I am not getting what you describing as far as wiring. I retrofitted my 2012 F-150 with OEM HID lights and used a Morimoto relay and harness. I can tell you that much, that the OEM headlight connector went to the relay wich in turn supplied power to the igniters (ballasts). You also want to make sure that you have a good ground (bare metal).

    Think my issue is grounding.

After installed the HIDs in my F-150 everything was good for a few month when both low beams quit working. That was caused by a bad ground, hence I suggested bare metal. Fixed my issue.

2nd gen? Try flipping the low beam plug backwards, for some reason Toyotas tend to be flipped polarity

Got it to work. It was a combination of bad ground and flipping the ballast plugs.
