Good afternoon, I recently purchased a 2018 limited crew max and it came with stock 20 inch rims. In the contract, I got the dealership to include color matched pocketed fender flares on the truck which will be in later this week.

I'm worried that it will look bad with the stock rims and tires and I want a more aggressive look. Can I take the wheels off and throw some 285/60r20s on it after my billstein 5100 level kit?

I attached a picture of the truck, suggestions?

I'd say you can. My truck is a 2017 SR5 double cab 2wd. I'm running 285/55r20 BFG ko2's. No rubbing anywhere at anytime.

looks great! I almost feel like I should even go bigger than that. Like a wider tire to fill the wheel well more

I was looking to do something similar. 20” stock rim and a more aggressive tire with perhaps a leveling kit. Curious to know what you decide.

You definitely can! I think those stock 20's look sharp, and I for sure would throw some nice tires on to compliment the look. If you are going with the leveling kit, there are quite a few sizes you can run depending on the tire you want. I would look at the ones you mentioned, 275/60/20 as well as others.

You're still going to be tucked in quite a bit with the flares. I would look into some wheel spacers or new wheels with a lower offset.

I put 295 55 20 toyo RT on my factory tss wheels after a bilstein 5100 level. The driver front tire rubbed the "skid plate" once. I bent it up and haven't rubbed since.

I have 295 55 20 toyo open country rt tires. These were the largest that I could do on my factory wheels without rubbing. That said they are almost 33" tall and about 12" wide. I've only put about 300 miles on them so far. Hard to give a good opinion yet, but they are pretty quiet considering they are mildly agressive.

I chose these over the ridge grapplers because they were about $50/tire cheaper through my dealer.

@Hondoman Alright thanks for all the info, I am learning about all this stuff for the first time. I literally have been searching and looking for a month and still feel kind of lost trying to decide on what to get.
