My first gen came to me leveled using spacers. I personally dont like the way it rides. Kinda harsh. I'm looking at going to an Eibach adjustable shock with an Eibach coil spring. Leveled, it sits great. I cleared my 33's with minor trimming. Fills the fender nicely. I WAS going to throw a 6 inch lift at it, but I honestly have 0 use for it. I rarely, if ever see off road. If it is, its heavy gravel, loose dirt. I really dont need the ground clearance of a big lift kit. It'd look bad ass though. But, for me, not practical.

I will say this; I work on a lot of lifted Tundras. Between 6 and 10 inches. Looks so nice. Big, mean, but in reality, their a pain in the balls to do anything engine wise to.

Is always nice to get different opinions, after being educated (by different sources) on the matter I've opted for a 4" Rough Country lift, although my tundra will not see mud, as I'am looking ahead, as in suspension issues, mostly looks, I love trucks!

The spacers put strain on the the ball joints cause' they just push the factory strut down to fit the spacer in. They're cheap, but I've read about premature lower ball joint failure. I'm saving to get the adjustables and coils for my truck. On the lowest notch with the Eibach coils it's a 2.5 inch lift, which is just at level. On the second notch its 3 inches of lift. I'd put an add a leaf in the rear to level it all out. I'm looking forward to a much better ride quality as my factory shocks have 192k on them. They're done lol!!

I'm not bashing the big trucks. I LOVE big ass, lifted trucks!!!! They stand out. It's like rolling art. We put time, effort and money into something we genuinely love.

Levelling as in horizontal stance vs rake? Or are you asking spacers vs suspension lift or other type of raising the truck?

You know what rim/tire size combo you're going to go with? I'm a fan of the big tires lol.

Isn't it 4.5? They don't have a 4" kit any more, only saying cause I bought mine used, and it was on a 6" kit and the rear crossmember was not cut as per instructions from there site, according to them it's an older model kit, so I'm going with the 4.5" kit parts I need rear blocks and spacers U bolts, I'm having alignment issues, also going with the coachbuilder steering kit and some UCAs as well

    Stulloh,
Iam pretty clear is 4". No new shocks, Was told my Tundra already brings good ones.
Iam also going with a Uniball swing arm to better alignments in the future, otherwise Ive been told that there is very room for adjustment without it..

Thanks, cant wait! try looking into a uniball swing arm to assist in even better ride plus alignment.

I'am dealing with a reputable suspension shop, even distributors speak high of them once I mention their name,, so yes, I'am paying a little more than I would like but, I know I'am getting much quality and experience with the work.
