What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Mine was prewired, so installing the sensor was easy.

I let a shop install the switch since it required the removal of the airbag and steering wheel. So I guess you could say pretty easy for me!

 

Had this for a while. Finally got it on.

 

Got the aFe pro dry S dropped in and TRD air flow accelerator installed. I can definitely hear a difference at least

So yeah, I'm stupid... I'm pretty sure I asked the salesman when I bought the truck if they pulled out and he said no, I saw a photo of one pulled out and tried mine and didn't move. I guess I just didn't pull hard enough .

 

Got the wheels shined up ready for the next owner...for sale in the Wheels and tires FS thread. On sale for $360!! If they don't sell soon I'm thinking about powder coating to 'go pro'

 

Quick interior wipe down for mine today and organized the tools in the bed.

Got slapped with a $1,114.63 personal property tax on the Tundy so tow mirrors are gonna have to wait until next month. This is the one time having great resale value really blows...my Previous Chevy trucks were never taxed this hard as they go off the appraised value of the truck.

Also bought a 2018 limited grille from a member on here, My Aunt met the member and picked it up In PA for me and I'm meeting her halfway tomorrow to get it. So excited!

 

Finally got a set of Bilstein 6112's assembled. Ordered new top hats for them but no bushing kit. Freaking 57$ thru Toyota for the 4 washers and 2 bushings. If I hadn't planned on installing Sunday I would have gone some place else and ordered them. 57$ in parts and they fit in my front pocket. But tomorrow is gonna be fun. 6112's in the front with new SPC UCA's. 5100's in the rear. Valve for oil changes and a new aluminum oil filter housing.

 

Got same just didn't put in air accelerator yet. Once u get some miles lmk what ur thoughts are on combo.

 

Bath.....and wax....back is now toast !

I'm right there with you, its enough to make you sick. I couldn't imagine the bill if I had purchased a higher trim level like a platinum or something. Heck they hit me for $550 on my wife's 2012 Tacoma, and here you have to pay personal property tax on all business equipment to so for my trucks trailers and equipment I'm into the city for $2800 by the end of the month. Its enough to make you sick.

On a good note I'm heading out to pick up my 2018 grille!

 

This was confusing so I had to Google it. Are you really taxed annually based on the value of your vehicles in Virginia??? Figured California or Illinois did this but had no idea there were that many states that did this.

 

In Virginia, personal property taxes are assessed by the local government and not the state, goes toward local expenses like police, education that the state dose not fund, fire and rescue, etc.. In Virginia, education is funded by the state based on the locality's ability to pay. Wealthy counties can be expected to pay up to 80 % of education expenses based upon a composite index formula.

Was a very busy bee yesterday.
Installed a diamondback 8 inch cross bin. With this addition I've decided to sell a brand new never installed passenger side undercover rear swing box. I'll post for sale soon. Matches mine on driver side, never opened out box. U can see it in my pic of some goodies.


After that I had my flare rivets powder coated to last up to the elements. So I had to pain stakingly remove all the ones I rattle canned and install the pc'd ones. Looks great though.


Then I put together this. It's from hitchworks. Awesome product. This thing is beastly, very heavy duty. Rated to tow 17k lbs. It's a drop hitch, it's a step, it's bumper protection, it's a super hitch. Plus now I don't have to cut into my bumper for backup leds. I love it and still need to wire up lights. It was late last night so I'll update my build thread with more info of the hitch setup soon. Only had time to take 1 early am pic. Will update mgm16trdpro build thread with more info once all done with it. Here's a little taste.
