So I'm looking at some of the budget dump exhaust systems. I've been through every link on YouTube. Some sound great and then some sound well... like ass... looking for feedback and vids if you got em!

I have the TRD replica with resonators and muffler delete, which dumps before the axle. Just a little bit of drone but definitely the most BA sounding truck around. As @ARamirez73 and @4x4_Angel can verify.

I tried shooting a video but the results are subpar and true sound quality is not brought through. I love my exhaust!!

Sorry, there is no video that will do justice to the 6” exhaust system. You have to hear it in person to really get a feel for it. My 6 inch system with no resonator sounds awesome. I’m still contemplating if I’m going to put the resonator on or not because I love it so much the way it is. The only time it gets tiresome is when I am worried about the other people in the truck getting droned out on long trips. But no one ever complains. It’s not really that bad. I had a 14” Magnaflow on my 06 trailblazer SS with the LS2 engine and it droned pretty bad. Although I enjoyed it my passengers didn’t on long trips.

I say just order the 6 inch if you’re looking for something not ridiculously loud and sounds like it’s got balls when you get into it. Order the resonator and a block off plate so that you can remove it if you don’t like it. Done!

The main reason some sound good and some don’t is the recording.

For some reason some recordings pick up on a high frequency in the exhaust that is covered up by mids and lows in real life. But the video picks up on it and only plays back the high. It’s weird

Now in person, if the truck is cold, and you gun it, there is a weird sound. But if the truck is warmed up pure nascar excitement is what you can expect.

So I have the budget system and love it. Normal driving around and it’s deep loud but not to loud for me(I realize that’s subjective). However, when it comes time to mash that skinny pedal like to merge(something most Oregonians can’t do) or to pass an annoying Prius it’s like a completely different animal.... loud as sh!t.

This sounds like a good option. I do like the sound of the trd replacement, but I also like the dump. I didn't realize that was an option lol. I dont mind some drone. I just dont want the clapping and cackling that some has. Just doesn't tickle my fancy. I may just chance it, if I dont like it, I'm betting it wouldn't be a hard sale....:hattip:

So just so I get this right. A TRD replacement, no mufflers, with resonator, dual dumped at axle?

Also check your local state inspection laws/requirements. Some places require a muffler. So save your stock system if needed to swap once a year.

Kind of, he will modify anything to your liking. The only difference between this and the TRD replica is no mufflers and no tailpipes.
