Hey guys I’m looking into fixing the common auxiliary port problem in my 2010 tundra and so while I’ll have it a part I’m curious about speakers. What are some good speakers that I could get with out having to buy a new stereo? I’m tired of the stock speakers they don’t seem to handle todays music very well so I just wanna do a simple upgrade with out having to upgrade everything

That’s a good question I not looking to go crazy something that’s better than stock. I’m thinking around 400 or $500 max for 4 speakers. The speakers that came in the truck can’t seem to handle basic music these days. The bass seems to almost fade in and out like they can’t handle it

I would look at crutchfield and see what you like with in your budget then punch those part numbers in Amazon

I’m trying to do the reserch at my work so I can’t look to see what I have for speaker right now but does anyone know what size speakers fit 2010 double cab? So far I’m finding 6.5 or 6.75 but I just wanna makes sure before I order. I’m kinda looking at Rockford Fosgate speakers and they only have 6.75 inch speakers

If you go 6.5 all the way around you will need these:
I used these to keep factory wiring and keep it plug and play:
    (2) Pair of Metra 72-8104 Speaker Wire Adapters for Select Toyota Vehicles - 4 Total Adapters https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GEIP7RW?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

    For the front:
    Scosche SAT69 4-Runner Speaker Adapter for 2003 Toyota https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NWG3S8?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

    for the rear:
Mosuch 6.5" Plastic Black Speaker Adapter. Fitted For Toyota 4Runner, Avalon, Celica, Corolla, Echo, Highlander, Matrix, Prius, RAV, Sequoia, Sienna, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007ZQGZWO?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf

Just some things that helped me. As far as speakers that choice is up to you and your budget. Good luck hope this helps and if you have any questions I can try and help out with anything that I can.

Remember that Crutchfield includes wiring adapters and speaker mounts with their price. They have a sale going right now on Focal speakers and their price was better than Amazon with the included parts mentioned previously.

+1 for James at tech12volts. Shoot him an email of what you want to accomplish and your budget and he will get you setup.

I vaguely remember hearing about a member that got a nice upgrade kit for 5-600 (i think it had an amplifier also).

I ordered my speakers today 6.5 components all around.
Just confirming before I order these will fit and someone has used them? Amazon states none of them fit my 17 CM.

    Thanks

It's been a while, how did it work out for you on the install?

Actually I traded the 17 for a 19 and added 12 tech system.

    Merry Christmas
