Want to level truck

Im looking to level out my 2017 Tundra i do only on road driving just want to get rid of front end rake ... looking at different ways and means of doing this . im thinking of just doing the space design but different opinions on on top spacer or in mount spacer ...... What is the consensus say ??? just looking to ad 2.5 inches , any help greatly appreciated just dont want to make a mistake and have problems down the road.

The general consensus here is that spacer lifts should be avoided. ColoradoTJ's advice is solid. The 5100's would be an upgrade and they don't cost a whole lot more than spacers.

 

I have 6112/5160 in rear at 1.9 setting. If you go 2.5 in front you will be nose highly slightly. I’m happy with the setup.

I did 5100s all around and 1 inch block on rear and rides great front is at highest setting

 

Man one thing you will learn is that in "most" cases spend the extra cash and get better quality. That being said, I have a rough country 3/1 leveling kit and I notice zero loss in drive or ride quality. I do only on road driving as well and mostly interstate. I'm completely happy with it.

I really would like to go the suspension route esp bilstiens can yoiu use factory springs ??? Also how is the ride. Keep in mind keeping stock tires and wheels ,

With the Bilstein 5100 adjustable struts do you need to add a differential drop kit??

 

If you are just leveling you don’t need a dif drop.

Ok so everyone using the bilsteins your using stock coils on middle or highest setting ?? and not over compressing coil resulting in stiff hard ride ????

 

I may push this hard(ok I push it very hard), but only because the quality of parts and service I received were top notch. Get with David @Toytec Lifts and look into the Eibach 3/1. Ride quality is better than stock and its an easy swap to do.

 

On the middle setting, the ride is firmer, but not jarring. Actually, the 5100's are a better shock than the stock shocks on the SR5, so I think the ride is better. Also, the choice in tires can change the ride quality. I went from the stock 275/55/20's to the 295/55/20 ridge grapplers. The ridge grapplers have a stiffer sidewall than the stock tires so that could contribute to the additional ride stiffness.

I can't speak to the 5100's on the top setting. Someone else will have to chime in.

Yes they are .. im just looking to level off not really interested in lifting rear also ......... so thinking billy's maybe way to go just using stock spring has me worried about too much preload ...

 

I don’t think you are really preloading the spring like a spacer. That’s the advantage. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
The 6112/5160 I have come with beefier springs and the shock itself is much more beefy than the 5100. It’s most definitely an upgrade if you want to spend a few hundred more. I am at the 1.9 setting up front, nothing in back except the 5160 and I am perfectly level. I didn’t change the UCA and I have no diff drop and I have zero issues.
