Well, I’m looking into getting shackles to add a few more inches , but I THINK i read that if you replace shackles, then I NEED to replace leaf bushing??????? Anyone ?? Cause I will have a alignment problem??

No...not at all. The stock leafs have a tension bushing. Tension bushings in general suck. But you can replace them with traditional bushings which slide easier through the suspension travel. Has nothing to do with alignment though.

Thanx dude.. sooo, I’ve read on here that they should be replaced when putting coachbuilder shackles on? Am I reading that wrong or something ? Or am I confusing it with something else ?

If you have the money and have shackles off already, you may as well. Those loaded bushings they come with are terrible. Smoother travel and it gets rid of the little load hop the bushings do.

No, I don’t have shackles or the bushing replacement. Just doing homework about it and watching videos on how much a nightMare it is to take them out?? I read cochbuilder said that OEM is biting down on new shackles so it’s best to replace them or some mess like that..

Yup, he's not wrong. Any shackle will bite down on the tension bushings. It becomes way more noticeable as the shackle length increases though. A shackle is after all just a lever. The longer the lever, the more noticeable the tension, the more it oscillates while moving. And yes, they are a pain in the dick to remove.
