Hey guys just picked up a 2016 mgm crewmax. The truck is awesome, already got the color matched trd pro grill, door hades and mirror caps. Just had a question though...I noticed while driving that on the dash display it shows average fuel economy and it always stays about 8 mpg?????? Is there a reason for this, it's kinda tripping me out. If I switch it to the gas mileage indicator with the horizontal line it says I'm getting about 20+ mpg depending how I drive.

Please if anyone has experienced this I would love your Insight. Thank you.

Welcome. See this is your first post.

To answer your question your truck is brand new and the ecu has not had time to "learn". Reset the average mpgs and see if it changes. It will be inaccurate for a little while. Give it a few fill ups.

Pro tip: reset the average mpg after every fuel up to keep it accurate as possible.

    Oh, and welcome to Tundras.com!

To do this you press DISP until the average MPG is shown, then press and hold DISP until it goes to 0.0. Also a good time to reset one of your trip meters if you want to calculate your mpg next fill. It will take a few miles to get accurate. You will see how much idling and a heavy foot change things..
