Michelin LTX Mileage Warranty

Sorry if I missed another thread, I looked...

Has anyone pursued the 60k mileage warrant from Michelin on our stock LTX tires?

I have 4-4.5 /32nds left with only 20k of mileage.

Honestly, I don't want the same size/make/model tire when I replace, but I want to be fiscally responsible as much as I can.

 

Yes, Toyota service every 5k, just did my 20k.

 

I tried through a Lexus dealership for my wife's GX, not sure if LTX but were Michelin. Similar situation about 20k miles, forget the tread depth. The dealership went to Michelin and I want to say we were afford 30% of new and what would be at list price. Through the dealership it was still going to cost $1k after install.
Needless to say I was not happy enough and declined. It was a lease, a few months later we exchanged vehicle for new leaser @ $20 more bucks a month.

The new lease has Bridgestones (think), not holding up any better. I don't believe that the load rating is correct, vehicle probably too heavy for tires.

There is no LTX M&S AT2. Are you talking about the LTX AT2?

 

I got 90,000 miles out of my LTX AT2’s and they still had some life left.

 

This^ (on the original formula 2007 purchase) mine had 70k with half tread still left. Only replaced due to slight dry rot. Very slight. Bought some new LTX AT2 with the new ‘eco formula’ and don’t think they are as good as the original formula. They still good, but not as great! Handling is the same. Wet traction not as grippy. Tread life not nearly as great, but still good.
