I never rented a trailer. I do own a travel trailer and you really need to have stabilizer jacks.

There is a RV rental place near Van Buren and Magnolia called Corona Motor Home rental. You might check with them since they are local to you. I have never rented from them.

My in-laws visited from the U.K. a year and a half ago, rented an RV through Cruise America up at the Canadian border, drive it down the west coast and turned it in here in San Diego. They loved that RV, nick named her "Good Girl" because there were no problems, it was comfortable, and they felt secure with the reliability, security, and size (roomy inside; not too big to drive-- for British used to tiny cars and roadways). So, while I'd look to some of the locals recommended, you can get pricing and options for Cruise America online... as a comparison.

Hey, SoCal Tundra buddies! This just happened:

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/double-cab-rocksliders-ac-soon.25137/#post-601437

This guy and a buddy fabbed up some awesome sliders for 1st gen and looking to sell one completed set now, then use that cash for materials to make 3 more sets. Sounds like he's in the final stretch to get his degree and, therefore, has some heavy duty time constraints... but also mentioned needing beer and gas money., and may be able to connect us to local fab options.

I know we've been hooked up with a good mod guy (Tacoma World guy in Vista), but I think a few of you have asked around for welders/ custom metal fab.... :benchpress:

@8MINT8, did you already work out getting your sliders lengthened?

Those look great. He did a great job. My 1st gen is retired to being a grocery getter now. I am going to keep the sliders the way they are until I can save more money.

Got the truck into the dirt for a warm up / make sure I didn't fuck anything up run. Easy trail, Santa Rosa Mountain Truck Trail. 2wd doable, found an obstacle or two to try in 4x4 to make sure it works haha.

Yep, plenty of yellow post sites up there and only saw a few people scattered about the mountain. Was easy to find a spot Saturday afternoon.

This looks fun; those photos are great! I've got a couple trails I plan to scout in the 4 Runner to see how they'd be for a Tundra meet-and-play (pinstripes; 2WD or 4WD) This one wide enough, and can I add it to the already approved list? Thanks, Mike!

Beautiful shots Mike! Another place to add to the list. My run on 5/12 got cancelled so looks like I might go 5/5 after all. Anyone familiar with Heartbreak Ridge off the 38? Never run it so I thot I'd try something new.

I ran it last year. Came down it, not up, also bypassed the really deep section. My buddy in a regular cab taco made quick and easy work of it, looked like a lot of fun!
