I am looking to buy some projector headlights for my white 16 sr5 crewmax. I didn't know if anyone had a white truck with smoke headlights so I could see the difference between the smoke and the regular black ones. Just trying to see which color would accent the truck the best.

The money they want for aftermarket your better off getting them retrofit. Eledobleu on here would be able to answer any questions about that. Awesome custom work. Hope this helps

Yeah. I've seen the process on that and it truthfully kind of scares me. I'll have to do a little more research. I appreciate it.

Retrofits start at $550 and the quality is alot better than recons! Your getting a quality HID projector which provides atleast 10 times more light than Recons or Spyder's "halogen" projectors. Shipping is roughly $20-$50 depending on where you live (one way) so for about the same price you will get a HQ retrofit with much better light output!

In fact, I just finished an FX-R retrofit with switchback Halos behind the shroud for a total of $670 + shipping. Dont waste your money on the Recon or Spdyer lights when High quality retrofits cost about the same!

I've seen you work you do great stuff! But I would need a spare set and need to send you my set with no down time of the tundra...that shipping adds up. I was thinking hard about a retro but I think the cost would of been too high.

I really like the look, however I'm clueless as to fit and function. I have a 15' Limited CM 4x2 that I'm leaning on doing this to, but my concerns are:

-is it a plug and play?
-how hard is it to install, or better yet what all is involved in the install?
    -cost??
    -am I missing anything??

    thanks

I might just take you up on your offer...got my recons in and they look nice buy had finger prints on the inside and what looked like a haze behind the lense and what looks like dust. I'm going to exchange them one time...otherwise they are going back. I live in Wisconsin by the way.

That is some clean work. I just knew giving that a shot as a rookie wouldn't come out the same. I may have to get with you when I'm ready to pull the trigger. Cuz that quality around 600 isn't bad at all.

Are you talking about having the lenses smoked? IMO. Thats a little like wearing sunglasses. They look cool in the daytime but are the opposite of functional at night.

Originally yes. I've seen black spyders on here and that look is what I'm going for now.
