Only one "bad" job in my career. Worked at Burger King for about a month while I was in high school. Wont do that again. Other than that I have been very fortunate.

Target AP. constant personality conflicts and disagreements on various issues. They taught me how NOT to manage employees. I thank them for that.

Montgomery Wards in HS. Retail sucks. I would imagine fast food would be worse, that is why i never did it.
I was working at Wards up to the point they went under and the store was closing. They did the whole store on sale thing and it became a dump in there, and i had to clean it every day still.

Working at Silver Mine Subs was without a doubt my worst job. I worked with a few druggies, and multiple inept managers. Even with 100 hour weeks, my current job is a hell of a lot better!

Monkey Wards? I almost forgot about them. When I was 11, friends convinced me to go pick blue lake green beans per lb. (Oregon). Good money. NOT. Maybe if youe pick a billion beans. Did it one day. I would rather pay to not do it. Friends then tried to convince me to pick walnuts. More money than picking beans they said. Got new friends. Split up dead fall cedar trees for fence posts and bolts for cedar shakes. Now that was real money at 11yrs.

Picking apples in the orchard when I was in HS. You got 35cents a bushel, and trust me you had to be careful climbing up and down a ladder that is precariously placed in an apple tree. I scared the s**t out of myself on more than one occasion! And it takes 30 bushels to fill a crate. So you better keep moving if you wanted to make any money. A few of my buddies from HS worked there too, so we still managed to have alot of fun! It made the job tolerable

35 cents a bushel? Big time money compared to green beans. (Or maybe not, no wait, NOT)

Temp job cleaning chemical waste out of steel drums transported to a holding yard in Level B PPE and supplied air all day. Lost 7-8 lbs every day in sweat, went home and drank fluids to replace it. I gave them my 2 week notice the first day. Very physical work, whenever I am hating any job after that I just think of that job and all is well :)

Planted potatoes one summer. Gave me a deep respect for pre-mechanized farmers. I guess nowadays that's considered among "jobs Americans won't do", but I did it, and was happy for the work.

Operating and maintaining a German built (overly complicated) machine that melted lead ingots and through a series of steps, expelled lead shot of various sizes for shot gun shells. It was noisy and hot, not to mention possible lead poisoning, fortunately i didn't get any health problems from the lead. That was many years ago. Cheers.

Shit burning detail. Use to have to pull 55 gallon drums from under the portable outhouses, mix diesel fuel in the drums, light and stir till gone. Korea, 1975. Hated it!
