Can Scout GPS be installed/downloaded on any 2016 Tundra?

 

I think it depends on which version of the Entune audio system you have.

yes, if your radio is Entune audio plus. Just for general info mine works great for verbal directions which is fine for me because I trained myself to not look at the radio. But the mapping part of it often disconnects. Could be my radio, but I doubt it though, Scout has shitty reviews..

 

Only if you have Entune Audio Plus, honestly it isn't worth it.

Yes it can, just download it to you phone and link it to your radio.

 

Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, trying to see what others thought about it? I wish the Tundra had something better. like Google Earth or maps would have been better. Thinking about doing the Crux Avity-01 so I can just mirror my iPhone.

The scout app is a big ole pile of shit! If you have other options, try those. Very disappointed with Toyota for going this route with GPS.

 

Our civic has apple/andriod carplay so I can just put my phone on the radio screen but to be honest my phones map kind of sucks too. My dealer told me about Scout since my radio has the option to have it but after reading the reviews now I am not so sure.

 

Ok so I added the Crux Avity-01 to my stereo and now I have turn by turn from my iPhone, pretty cool plus I can watch video such as Utube if I wanted to. Mainly use it for navigation and music. I like the ability to turn it on and off with the steering wheel button. I'm thinking about adding a front camera to it. I believe this should be fairly easy since the front camera requires power I would just need to add a switch to power either the iphone or front camera.

 

I've had Waze send me to wrong places as well lol. All man made crap is not 110% reliable
