If anyone is planning to buy a brake controller, get it from Roman
    https://www.tundras.com/members/876/

Here's the link to the brake controller

    https://www.tundras.com/out/?url=http://parts.toyotaofcoolsprings.com/oe-toyota/895470c010

And the link to the panel

    http://parts.toyotaofcoolsprings.com/oe-toyota/554470c020c0

I think the dealerships are charging about $320. I got mine from Roman for $225. That's for the brake controller, the new panel, and shipping. Can't pass up that deal. Everything you need is included and literally takes about 10 minutes to plug and play. It's integrated so the info displays on the dash and it lights up when the lights are on. It will work on 2015's but the 2014's aren't wired for this. And for the 2016's I believe it's standard on all 5.7 but not 4.6's. I know this has already been posted but it was too easy to miss and the price wasn't very clear. image.jpg image.jpg

OMG!!!! FINALLY!!! Ive been lurkin around the forums waiting for someone to figure this crap out. I have a 2015, if I buy the relay, is there software already in the vehicle that will recognize it or is there a 2016 software upgrade involved?

Also, does the existing connector behind the panel plug-n-play or is there a shorty adapter cable/harness??

Ryan, yes and yes. Just buy the parts and plug them in. Your truck has everything else it needs. Roman posted right above you, he knows what you need.

Thanks for the quick reply. Ive been wondering ever since I bought my truck back in sept. but I was a little hesitant because of the heavy price and not knowing about the software. And at the time the parts guy I talked to here in socal said they werent available.

Big thanks! Now the hard part....start saving up for it.

It fits all 2015's to my knowledge. You may want to confirm that the plug is there, just to be safe.

Not only would you need a pig tail but you would also need to go to a dealer and have the software installed (if they even will). The stock controller uses the driver info screen to adjust the gain and mode. Without that screen you would have no idea what mode your in or your gain setting.

    Roman,
Do you know if the OEM Brake controller is proportional or time delay. I was going to go with a proportional Tekonsha but I came across the forum talking about the OEM controllers. They look like a nice set up. I was just wondering about the type as it seems proportional are better. I would appreciate any info.

    Thanks

They're standard. You should already have it. Actually, I think it's all 5.7's.

Ok, the salesman said it didn't but, he was new. If it had the controller, would there be and adjusting lever or anything? Mine is the SR5 not the plus

Look at the first picture, it's under the traction control button and right of the ignition. And if you scroll through your display, the integrated brake control screen should come on.

Apparently it only comes standard on the 5.7s. You can probably get this then. But ask Roman to make sure your truck is wired in.
