Cab Mount Chop Price

What did you pay for your CMC(BMC)?

I want 35''s but i need to figure out what my budget is for all mods required to fit these.

 

A decent price is around $200

These prices labor only or they include those plates as well?

Labor for me was $75-100. I used a Welder/Fabricator I use for work so I think I payed 80. The shop I was going to use was $100.

 

Plates from Relentless are around $30. I'm sure I can get CMC done for way less than $200. $150. Free if I bribe my coworker who has a nice workshop out back of his house. He likes my smoked sockeye salmon....

 

I paid $220. Included cutting/welding and spray painting over and cut/pinch welds as well + front liner trimming
I provided the Relentless Fab cmc plates to my guy.

 

Mine was $200 out the door with labor, plates, and finishing

We're a flat $150 (unless you want a ton of extra trimming) including the plates to anyone near Reno NV

 

Planning on getting ray10 18x9 wheels with +25 offset. I'm on stock PRO suspension. What else is needed to fit 35''s? Are coachbuilder shims/shackles necessary?

Spray paint - $8 primer and black
Borrowed dad's mig welder - free
Total cost - $39

You should be able to get away without CMC. with +25mm offset wheels you will be close but shouldn't need them.

My friend and I both do welding/fabrication as a hobby. He was doing this on Tacos for $150. With or without plate. The way he was doing the cut, you fold the piece over and use it as the plate. Way easier. A buddy of mine wanted me to do his but sold the truck. I've looked at the youtube vids on this. It's stupid easy. Could get away with a flux welder and a grinder with a cutting wheel if that's all you had.

 

Any good BMC shops in the tampa Bay area or anyone on here wants the job

Any off road or crawl shop will be able to do it.
You can also search Reddit for reputable shops in your area.
The on going price now is about $350....this should include the chop, plate weld, paint, and smooth out the pinch weld.

I would just let the shop know you want it aggressive so you just have to do it once if incase you want to switch tires or wheels.

I know around here (Houston area) you'll not find a decent one for less than $300

 

Yeah, I got mine done in Maryland.

 

Mine was actually free...err a 12 pack.

 

I feel like $370+ is steep for something that seems relatively straightforward. If i'm full of BS let me know. lol

 

It is what it is. I paid 500 but this is a very limited service in my area. Only one shop in the metro area. Everyone else was a good drive away and also wanted as much.
