    I would say yes. I haven’t done it personally but I’m pretty sure the filter is up higher than the pan.

    If you have the Toyota/Lexus Motiv X tool it will work on the aluminum one also. I just got my aluminum one in the mail today and checked the filter tool.

    I use that thing too (brass one), it really helps keep the process clean and drip free. pricey but worth it.

    Nope that’s the way mine is. Toyota upside down LOL. And yes the metal tube from your plastic cartridge needs to go into the aluminum one.
