    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
So....I decided to do a thang. Go, go, gadget mod weekend!

A little bit of, "Measure 15 times, cut once"....

    IMG_8910.jpg

Followed by some patient dremel, test fit, dremel, test fit......

    IMG_8911.jpg

And then....take a moment and day dream about the final look.

    IMG_8912.jpg

Go share with your peeps, then go repeat the other side.
    'More to come...

    Just bought the

    — TRD air accelerator $15

    — TRD air filter. $55

Cheap mod instead of buying the whole TRD intake.. Anyone else do this mod?? How does it perform?

I thought this was pretty funny and almost 1 in a million chance. I came out the store today to finally find my truck's long lost little brother. He came all the way from Virginia to see his big brother in Jersey. Both pros, both mgm, and both same db hd cover. He just obviously hasn't lost his mind in spending a ridiculous amount of money in mods yet.

Indeed sir. I've been spying the SSO bumper, so like you said...great minds.

I've debated where to mount them for weeks...in the end cap or the center, and 12-6 or 3-9 on the orientation. :frusty:
Ultimately I went this route so I didn't have to cut the end cap. Plus, the inner bracket of the end cap just made for to much cutting/fitting.

That part decided, the plastic is really the easy part. Tmrw I'm going to attempt to fab some brackets that will secure them to the bumper.

Looks awesome, u picked the perfect spot. If u don't mind, either do a little how to write up, or @ the very least send me a pm of your process. Any info and advice would be greatly appreciated. A couple months ago I saw the same on tundracrew and thought what a great idea. Put 2 s2's in the rear bumper black plastic area rather than cut the painted end caps. I was thinking it could even be possibly done without having to remove anything?

With my tinted reverse lights plus non led in the dark am when backing out my garage I sometimes have to lower my window so I can see backing up n turning to not hit my retaining wall. I knew then I had to do something.

@Baja Designs makes awesome lights and customer service is top notch. I love my s8 and squadrons. I'm planning to get some s2's to do the same somewhere down the road when the money is right. That or maybe a tow hitch with lights incorporated? I need something either way. Hopefully BD and my best friend Bailey will throw in a couple amber LP9's with my order for me to put on the ol sso bumper. That would sure as hell sway my decision in favor of more BD lights.

I'll put together a DIY thread with everything once I get it all done.
As far as doing it with everything attached...I just don't know yet. I took it all apart so I could layout different designs and figure out the mounting options...which is part of what tomorrow will be.

While I think I'm going to like the placement, I'm damn sure not about to mount @Baja Designs lights into plastic without them being secured from would-be little theiveries. :spy:
By mounting them in there, I'm hoping/thinking that I'll still be able to access the covers to change them out, if I ever decide to.
I went with the 'work light' lenses to throw the most flooding. My intent for use will be in order; for reverse while off trail/hunting, flood lighting when camping, and random tailgating assholes.
I'm still undecided on the on-off-on toggle switch or single on-off.

Got a link for the vinyl lettering, how does it hold, 3m? Let us know how it holds up or if it rubs off. Curious if getting in and out will impact it's ability to hold. Looks great and I'd love to do same in red or mgm.

Had it on my Tacoma and had no issues at all. Once they're dry they're not coming up. Look for the username mtnrider65 on eBay. He's on the Tacoma forums as well, but sends you to eBay to buy.

Yup. It's about the same height as the cab and lower than the roof rack I have on the cab. We're not getting a RTT anymore. We have plans to build a trailer this Summer with a design that hasn't been done anywhere in the world (ie. so we have to patent it also).

I enjoy watchin' you transform this truck. That rack looks really good. I'm looking forward to seeing it packed to go. Awesome transformation!
