Getting my new shoes today

Im getting my new tires today, I decided on 275/70/18 Firestone Destination MT
I had these on my 05 Tacoma and loved them, cant wait to see them on my tundra

 

I've always had good luck with stones. Post a picture when you get 'em mounted.

 

I also had some hell-wig helper springs installed so the rear end dosnt sag when I put the horse trailer begin it

I pushed the stock Michelin's as far as I could. I put 42,820 miles on them

I have the extreme sheave 16g weights and a slugged wet clutch in my viking and the difference is amazing, what are you getting done to your rhino?

 

Looks great. If I hadn't just installed KO2s I might be all over that. Speaking of Firestone, if those helper springs don't do it for you, Firestone makes a great airbag set.

Thx, these destination mt's will look the same way when they are done. I dont buy cheap tire but I get all the money out of them

 

I make sure my wear indicators are REALLY showing before I buy new tires as well, they are too expensive not to. I have had a set of Destination ATs on my Tacoma and got 44000 miles out of them, they were great in snow & mud and fairly quiet on the road. I wouldnt hesitate to buy another set

 

I cant believe how much more I look my truck with the new tires

 

Amazing what tires can do to a look of a truck.

 

I pulled the horse trailer today for the first time with the new tires and hellwig leaf springs and what a difference the leaf springs made in the way the truck sat with the weight and the way it rode, no more bouncing. Thats the only thing I will say negative about the Tundra, it has plenty of pulling power the rear suspension is just to soft.

Before i had to use a straight hitch insert and the trailer would sit level but the truck was sagging in the rear, today a used a 2" drop and the trailer sat nice and level and so did the truck. Hellwig make a great product that does exactly what they say it will do
