    Long time lurker, first time caller... I just picked up a 2010 Platinum which I love. It was Toyota dealer serviced for most of it's life as I was able to ascertain via Carfax and other VIN checks. Coming from GM land, the General has what is called a global VIS report (Vehicle Information System) that tracks each VIN for recalls and such; it lists all details of dealer service as well (recalls, parts replacement, lubes, etc). Toyota must have the same thing...anyone know what its called?

    Welcome! I believe if you register your VIN at the link below it'll tell you some of that stuff (recalls for sure). There's also an app you can use, but it's a little wonky...

    Hopefully that VIN is already registered like mine was. I have service history going back to born in Texas day. Dealer will update info when at dealer or you can update third party info and things you do yourself.

    Thanks for the advice. I signed up on Toyota.com/owners. Looks like I will have to wait for their back end data base to come back on line. I can see service history, but when I go to individual details I get the flat tire page (love web developers with a sense of humor)!
