I am new to the forum,I have a 2000 tundra with 249k.i have done nothing to this truck but timing belt and routine maintenance. The air conditioning control button just started blinking.I can hear the compressor come on,but it doesn’t stay on.Am I looking at a new compressor or could it be something simple? This truck already needs a paint job,am wondering how much to put in before I trade.

If your AC is overcharged it will cause your compressor to cycle on and of repeatedly, check that before moving forward. This happens a lot when people buy the recharge cans from the parts store and they just over fill it. You really need to use a 3 hose manifold for proper AC charging.
