So, this afternoon as I was stealing the idea of carbon fiber wrapping some parts of my interior from @PolarbearTRD, tragedy struck. I was doing some small trimming on the edges and needed to get a different angle with the razor and my hand. As I was adjusting, I ran the tip of my razor blade across a small portion of the dash above the gauge cluster. It's not a horrible gash but I'm a bit of a perfectionist and it's still a damn new truck and now every time I look over the steering wheel it's all I can see and it spins me into a dimension of pissed off I'm not quite sure I've ever been in before. If anyone knows a way to fix that wound or at least give the illusion that its fixed without having to re-upholster the whole damn thing I will be forever grateful.

I think a picture would help guys on here trying to help. I would try to find out if that part of the dash is vinyl, if so, look into vinyl repair kits, and practice on something prior to, and make sure the color is spot on.

Only thing I can think of at the moment.

Yea lets see a picture. I scratched my new Tacoma dash within a month or so of getting in new from the dealer and dealt with it till I sold it 6-7 years later.

It's the damndest thing. I went out to take a picture and I can't hardly find the damn thing now! It was a pretty decent cut in the vinyl but it almost seems like it kind of fused itself back together throughout the night or something. Maybe because of temperature change or something, I dunno. I'll see what it looks like later once it warms up some more.

Don't attempt a repair with any vinyl repair; it will definitely show.
It may reappear when you wipe the dash down with a microfiber cloth and go across the direction of the cut. Tip: when you dust off your dash, try to wipe with the direction of the cut...if you can remember the direction.
