Thanks....that is a bada$$ setup, but I don't have that kind of money! When i go with a lift it'll definitely be a coil lift and not a block

You need the increased clearance for that part and then better suspension for the 70mph washboard that comes after it.

Lift, tires, and sliders are on. The truck is trail worthy now, but since my 1st kid will be born in 3 weeks(ish), I will not be. I'm ready for more dings than the shitty ones I get at Wal-Mart too.

    Memorial Day sales are coming!
Look into demelo/Sdhq/pelfrey/all pro/bamf hasn’t start poduction but all are great for sliders

    Sdhq
    Wheelers off road
    Down south
    Mcm
    Filthy motorsports
Just to name a few that sell suspension. Most prices are pretty average. Catch a sale or forum discount if possible.

Pick up a baofeng radio off Amazon.
Get yourself a hitch receiver and a shackle or two.. they tend to run away.

If u feel the need to have your own gear look into snatch straps, tire delfator, air compressor, and basic toilet - edit**tools** but a toilet is nice to carry around.

For most of our trips, most importantly is protecting the truck. We spend most of our time now on Blue (medium) and Red (difficult) Trails. Only Green (easy) trails we do are usually getting to the Blue and Red Trails. So armor, clearance, and traction are pretty much a must now. That includes...

    Requirements for the truck...
    - atleast 2" Coilover lift (3" preferably) with atleast 33" tires (35" MT preferred but AT works also)
    - sliders (definitely no low hanging steps or nerf bars)
    - full size spare tire (that means matching the size you are running)
    - full skids (engine, transmission, gas tank), not absolutely necessary but highly recommended
    - ABS guards, also not absolutely necessary but nice to have

    Basic Accessories...
    - Trails Book of California
    https://www.amazon.com/Guide-Califo...rd_wg=bIIwP&psc=1&refRID=85F61VEYXHMYZ7YPZNGF
    - Radio (HAM or Baofeng)
    https://www.amazon.com/Baofeng-Warr...e=UTF8&qid=1523473336&sr=8-8&keywords=baofeng
    - Hitch Shackle
    https://www.amazon.com/Trailhead-Multi-Mount-Receiver-Wrangler-Receivers/dp/B01G4GYYCI/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1523472839&sr=8-7&keywords=hitch+shackle&dpID=41dzsXv60%2BL&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch
    - D-ring Shackles (or soft shackles)
    https://www.amazon.com/Shackles-Vau...=UTF8&qid=1523466703&sr=8-4&keywords=shackles
    - Snatch Strap
    https://www.amazon.com/ARB-ARB705-2...&qid=1523472665&sr=1-18&keywords=snatch+strap
    - Tow Strap
    https://www.amazon.com/Strap-Pound-...pID=3146LRYXP6L&preST=_SX300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch
    - Air compressor
    https://www.amazon.com/VIAIR-45053-...?ie=UTF8&qid=1523469151&sr=8-7&keywords=viair
    - Air Deflator
    https://www.amazon.com/ARB-ARB505-E...3470453&sr=8-3&keywords=arb+tire+deflator+kit

    For Multiday Trips...
    -
    Spare Gas Can (or Rotopax)
    https://www.4wheelparts.com/Exterio...00.aspx?t_c=3&t_s=188&t_pt=11104&t_pn=MDW5800
    - Water Jug
    https://www.amazon.com/Reliance-Pro...TF8&qid=1523468930&sr=8-19&keywords=water+jug
    - Tent (preferably a quick pop-up) and camping gear

I'm probably forgetting a few things but these are the basics. These are also some of the cheaper stuff, ofcourse there are more expensive versions of everything I listed. For anyone just getting into off-roading, not all of this is absolutely necessary so I wouldn't go buying all of this until you've been out a few times and you're sure you want to get into offroading.

    that's a great list.

but yeah sliders, armor and 3/1 lift will get you ready.
I would save the headers/tune money and invest in suspension/armor/sliders/tires instead. remember you are in CA, they don't like emissions changes on vehicles.

Nice Shane!! Let us know if you need help with the install. @froggy78 just put on some White Knuckles and he's an expert driller/installer now. He'll be glad to lend a hand. Just have 6-12 spare step drill bits.
