Soop, @TRD15559 , said the ceramic coating does a good job of protecting the paint. Kinda wish I'd done it when the truck was new. No big deal though, I'm not great at buffing and polishing but I've painted a lot of cars.

If you are going to do any wheeling other than dirt roads you might want to rethink the steps and get sliders instead.

I highly recommend RCI skids, just not their gas tank skid for the 38 gal. tank. We've been out testing All Pro, SDHQ and PnP sliders and they've all performed really well. But you need to wait about 4 months for PnP and I'm not crazy about their new design.

That’s good to know, I have a coating on now but thought about going tougher.

Alan here in Walnut Creek checking in. The Kart meet & greet last weekend looked like a lot of fun. Was my kids b-day so no way to make it - hopefully next time.

Welcome Alan. It was fun and I'm sure there will be another one soon as there seems to be a little rivalry 'tween MnM, @dcsleeper408 and @BlueBottle

We might occasionally do an easy trail but most of the trails we do I wouldn’t do without at least a lift and sliders. And full skids don’t hurt.

We all have 2-3” lifts. I think you mentioned you were considering the Boss lift. That would work fine. I had that before I upgraded and it’ll be enough to get you by. If you think you might get serious about wheeling, you might consider going straight to a better system like ADS, Icons or Kings.

The step hang down fairly low so there is a high likelihood you could catch them and rip them off on a rock. I made the mistake of wheeling with these guys before I got my slides have a couple of nice dents to always remind me. @dcsleeper408 crunched up his steps before he got his sliders.
For suspension you are going to want the new King 3.0 setup with the triple bypass rears. Ok, not necessary at all, but that is what I've been drooling on my pillow thinking about every night. Something around 3" front 1.5" rear lift should get you past most obstacles. The guys on here can tell you horror stories about every single suspension setup you can find, so ignore all of them and find something the fits your budget and wheeling style.
