After this season all of our equipment will be paid off which is nice. So from now on its all profit. Yearly operating costs are about a grand or so, and endless hours of work and more if any new equipment is needed, luckily we don't pay for wood, just have to work for it. It would be nice to make about $5k per year after costs to split which is attainable, this year would have been about 8k profit but we certainly don't expect years like this very often. Average hourly wage would come out to be around $5 per hour in a good year. Lol

Any money I may make I plan to put away for my daughter's education fund. It won't make me rich but it'll help her out in the future. So that's at least another 12 years

Got a box from my favorite MSG (Maple Syrup Guy). Even though I know what's in the box, I felt like a kid at Christmas!:jellydance::kona::bananadance:
All the bottles arrived safe and sound. @Pudge does a great job of packing!

Good to hear. The glass makes me nervous. So far I have only had one issue with shipping. Surprisingly it was a plastic jug. I think it must have got crushed and it blew the too off. That sucked and made quite a mess.

I'm packing boxes now before I go to work at 3.

I went this morning and fired up the evaporator that is full of water and milk stone cleaner. It's a stainless steel pan cleaner uses by dairy farmers for milk tanks, it works wonders on syrup pans. These things are caked with Niter (aka sugar sand) at the end of the year and it bakes on, very difficult to clean. I'll let this boil for a few hours and then scrub it later this week. The pans should look as good as new when I'm done

This took me 2 hours. Wish I had an easier way. It may also be in so anal about packing it so it doesn't break.
