I can't believe I have to drop the headliner and remove the 3rd brake light fixture just to replace a burned out bulb. That's just plain stupid!

All the youtube videos I've seen show the fixture being removed to swap out bulbs for led's and the sockets unplugged from the rear of the fixture. Is this not true?

Just to confirm, are you talking about the rear tail lights next to the tail gate?

Ok, see attached, you only need to remove the headliner when you're replacing the whole assembly. To replace bulbs, you only need to unscrew the plastic protector. Attached are instructions for both.

Yeah, if you want to upgrade to LED's you might need to remove the whole assembly/fixture.

Thank you, the headlight revolution video is very misleading. After watching their video again I see they are showing an aftermarket fixture with no screws for removal of the lens.

And dont forget rubber gasket that usually comes out with the lens, must be put back in place when reinstalling lens
