Ok, so I was trying to do things in order at a steady pace and guess what, issues.

I have a 2012 CM 4WD and my suspension is totally stock and 275-65-18 tires. I drive 99.9% on pavement.

So, I needed new tires and was saving for them. I was planning on going to 275-70-18.

Then the brakes started growling so I had to do them (z36) and skip the tires for now. When doing the brakes I found a busted driver side front shock. So now I need to replace them. I am and going with Bilstein 5100 adjustable. After this I will get an alignment (more money) and the tires.

I want to raise the front but not totally level out.

    Now here are my questions.

    1. Am I going in the correct order?
    2. Do I need the tires before the shocks?
    3. I am a big dude and weigh about 330#, how many CB shims do I need for the DS front? Will 1 work or do I need 2?
    4. What setting on the shocks, middle?
    5. Is my tire size ok, I like a fatter tire.
    6. Should I add the 1" block in the rear?
    7. What am I missing?

I just found out the shock issue over the weekend so I haven't really had a lot of time to dive into all this. I have been reading a lot about but want to make sure I am on the right track. I have never had a raised or modified truck before and any and all help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your comments

I think you're going in the right order. Unless you're tires are completely shot, brakes should trump the tires. Depending on how bad the shock is, it should probably trump the tires too. A broken shock stem or spring seat has the potential to cause a lot of damage.
I have 5100's on my '13 CM on the middle setting and it looks level but still has a slight rake to it. I didn't do any CB shims on the driver side because I didn't end up with a lean, you however, have about 150 lbs on me. From what I can remember reading, 1 shim was enough to correct the driver side lean for those that had it.

You've already done the brakes which if you can't stop none of it matters. Check that off. Between tires and shocks it would be shocks unless the tires are in really bad shape. Are they showing or can you feel any cords? Unfortunately, you may have to do two alignments, one for the shocks and one for the tires if there is a big time gap between the installs. If at all possible package the tires and shocks.
As far as what setting for the Bilstien 5100's most guys run the middle or top setting. The guys @Toytec Lifts will definitely know.

No cords showing so may be able to get the shocks and tires close together and then 1 alignment. I spoke to Toytec and they think 1 shim will do the trick.
    Thanks

I will do the rear shocks after I get some more money saved up. You have a pic of your truck you can post?

Thanks for the pics and that looks like what I am looking for.
    Bad asss exhaust as well.

Did you loose any ride quality?
I am leaning to the 275/70/18 but could stick with the stock 275/65/18. not sure yet. I like a plumper tire.
