Mine works fine. No error codes or CEL.

Not sure how difficult yall are making it out to be. Insert the key, rotate the key clockwise 90 degrees. Grab the actual cap and rotate counterclockwise. Remove key. When finished fueling, rotate the cap counterclockwise until 1 click.

I've had no issues with mine. It's just finding the right part number, which I believe I got off this forum.

Any progress on this yet? I have been thinking about this same thing for a while now. I hate carrying extra keys and have other Bolt products and they work awesome. Apparently stealing fuel is a big thing in my neighborhood all of the sudden. To add insult to injury, when they took it from my Tacoma, they used cheap medical grade latex tubing which tore and clogged my filler tube and tank fill valve. Had to drop the filler tube and tank to try and get it all out... There might still be some small pieces in the tank. Now, with my brand new Tundra, I am getting mysterious scratches all around the filler door. Unfortunately nobody seems to make a locking door for my Tacoma, but it is past time for this mod to the Tundra.

Also wondering, if it doesn't work for the AMI door, if it might work for the ABD door (seems a little less secure to me, but looks cooler and ultimately is just a deterrent anyway). Does anyone know if the door can just be opened by removing the allen head bolts on the AMI door once it is locked, or will the lock hold it in place?

I wish I could find one that works on my new truck. On my first a tundra 2008 XP’s crewmax 5.7 worked a few month then it trigger the engine light

So, to resurrect an old thread … does anyone have a current, similar door replacement? Considering the price of gas, the lack of a lock doesn’t thrill me. I’m looking into a locking gas cap, but I’d rather go the door option if it works…

    Too many, but not enough....
Consensus is locking fuel door is useless. Apparently it's really hard to siphon gas out of a tundra to begin with and most people are going to drill your gas tank anyway. Get a locking gas cap of u want but chances are it will throw a cel

I think AMI stopped making them.

This one shows it's available and comes in different colors. The logo is not on the door, it's just a sample.
