Rear shackle question

I have a question... I had a 3/1 kit installed and the rear is a 1” shackle and it sits perfect (with a slight rake) but thinking once I get the LineX installed tomorrow and a tonneau cover I don’t want it to look nose high so the question is would a 1 1/2” shackle raise it another 1/2” or no ? If so I was going to order the 1-1 1/2” shackle from Toytec in the morning

You’re probably really close on what to expect but why not wait until you get the cover and lineX then see how she sits?

 

Getting the LineX tomorrow so I will wait but was just wondering if I go to the 1.5” if that’s what I should expect about another 1/2” of lift in the back ?

 

BDS 3/1 3” spacer in the front and a 1” shackle in the rear

 

So I should get another 1/2” correct ?

Looks like you can adj it from 1-1.5” so you can fine tune it.

You can also get Coachbuilder shackles but they don’t make adj shackles. They have 3 different heights.

 

A 1.5" should be 3" longer than stock, giving you 1.5" lift over stock. The one you have is likely 2" longer than stock, giving you 1" lift over stock height.

 

Do I need to order new bushings with it ? My truck is only 3 weeks old

 

My ToyTec shackles came with bushings. They're kind of a bitch to replace, but they're poly-urethane instead of steel and rubber. I'd install them if it were my truck.

 

What do you have your rear shackles set at ?

 

Top 1.5" setting. I had them at the middle 1" setting and it was squatting the slightest. Now it's level at 1.5".

BOSS set at 3/1.5 vs. stock height. Yes, 1.5" is 1/2" more than 1". I guess I don't understand the question.....

Doubtful too but a half inch added wouldn’t look bad either lol.

 

Wait until it's done. If you do need Toytec shackles, I recommend the optional polybushings and greased properly, the ride will improve over stock.

2.5/1.5 Toytec in rear (I've tilted the pic a bit to account for the decline in my driveway as there's a slight rake on level road)

 

Eibach kit and I set my shackles at the middle (1.5) atleast I thought and I have alot of rake. I might do the lower setting. To my understanding the middle setting is 1.5 not 1
