Tornado air intake device

My sister swears by this saying it absolutely works. She bought my dad one and he said he noticed a difference too. Watch the news video attached to the link. If it does work I am game. I know theres a lot of BS crap on the market and no im not a newbie to modding

I looked at their site and did try to understand how it works. I do understand Bernoulli's principle and Newton's laws (I deal with them regularly). But their use of them to explain their device did not make sense at all. It was as if they were using these to confuse/impress. I would not try their device even if they offered me one for free.

 

You know with my grandma driving break in period and my crap 12.4 mpg I am willing to try anything

 

They say they will give money back and pay for shipping if it doesnt work.

Make a bet with your sister. Have her run as fast as she can at the track. Then you drive car to make sure it's fast as possible.

Then put in the snake oil......uh hurricane or whatever haha (jk) an have her make more passes.

If it's faster you will owe her $$. But WHEN it isn't she will owe and never forget about every holiday

 

I contacted Tornado to see what they are willing to do for a test run for the club.

 

Tried one in my 04 Silverado with a 6.0 gasoline. Lowered my fuel economy. Don't remember exactly how much, as it was 12 years ago. But I want to say it was 3-4 miles per gallon.

 

Wow! If I had this tornado and the magnetic fuel saving device thingie I'd be making more fuel than I burn!

 

Two words.

Fuel.

Injection.

Unless you're carburetted this thing will never do fuck all.

 

People are going to think this thing is legit...

 

I offered them the chance for me to test their product and give a solid review. They arent taking it so I guess this is coming to an end.

 

It's alright man. It's really hard to do anything to our already well tuned motors to add power or mpg.

 

Tornado contacted me back. They are going to send me a unit for testing! When I get it I will begin a test of the product and review. My hopes is absolutely that this product works. I will remain biased in my approach and give both the Tundra owners and Tornado a review of facts and I will document driving behaviors and mounting locations as I go. I really hope this gets us a gain and I know if it does you guys will be jumping on board.

 

I am still feathering the gas, I will continue to drive the way I have been. Only gotten on the truck maybe 3 times.

 

Good deal man, as csuviper mentioned make sure to find an effective way to conduct the experiment.

Easiest thing would probably be to hand calculate your MPG for 2-3 tanks prior to and after installing the product, and as you said keep up your normal driving patterns. That's the most important part, sometimes when you are looking for that extra MPG, you tend to abandon your normal driving habits and take it extra easy.
