The gf and I just got back from our trip to Montana. All I can say is, AMAZING!

    The Mountain View’s are beautiful!

We went to Bozeman and to the Lone Mountain Ranch in Big Sky.

Activities included snowshoeing, snowmobiling and a nice sleigh ride dinner. I haven’t went snowmobiling in years. It was by far the best part of our trip! She did great for her first time and only crashed once Lol.

We are both ready to move there ASAP.

Here are some pics of the trip.

I second that ^^. Visited my brother one time , came home sold out and moved there within 30 days. It was a great 3 year vacation. Bought a place right outside of Glacier National Park. Views and fishing were great. Had an Elk trail just fifty yards from my back porch. Couldn't get any of my Girls to relocate to the state or adjoining states. We missed too many of the Grand Kids games and Birthdays that it was just too much to take. Life is just too short to miss out on that.

Winters are a challenge but very doable. The locals and state crews are very capable of keeping the roads passable. Nothing shuts down there, unlike a total shut down that we experience here in tx when a 1 inch snow is predicted:help:.

Glad you enjoyed yourself! I was born and raised here in Bozeman. It’s changed a lot in the last few years! I bet you saw no shortage of Tundra’s either! They are very popular here.

@ldale the good thing is we are both okay with the distance thing. My family back in Michigan is used to me being distant. I was in Illinois for 8 years and now in Texas. They will enjoy having a nice place to vacation for outdoors. The gf and I are just hoping we can find work will similar incomes to what we have now. I think that will be the main hurdle.

Good luck to you. Don't know what kind of work you do but you'll probably need to stay in the larger cities to find comparable work. Most of the towns that were around where I lived were mostly seasonal. White Fish ...Hungry Horse...Kalispel.
