Yeah, started out trying to locate a 15, I didn't want to go through another dealer as mine has always treated me very well and is a family friend. No other dealer would trade him one, so had to get toyota rep involved and basically order it. Start to finish 5 months, actual time after getting rep involved approx 90 days. I wasn't in a hurry, gave me time to pay of my wife's 4runner, I can say I wasn't an easy customer to please!

I just ordered my trd pro last week. They called me two days ago and told me 43 days. I guess it helps that I live in San Antonio where they are made

No way I told the dealer not to touch it. I may look to install a sway bar and maybe see what's going on with the CAI. But on my previous Chevy trucks. I've installed every device and it ends up just being placebo. Hyper tech, volant, edge programmer when I had Dmax. RCD lift. Duel shocks. All a waste. Except for the CAI. I'm wondering how people are throwing away the pro suspension and installing pro comps system. Crazy.

Oh I'll put on a amp research step. Around $1200. I see dealers charging $2500

I did spray liner, viper remote start, sway bar and the lift with tires. Also got the clear bra and window tint but I dont know if that was a package deal or the dealer hooked me up.

I attended the Motor Trend Auto Show yesterday in Baltimore, MD to check out the Tundra TRD Pro. I was disappointed there wasn't one there in the Quicksand color. From the pictures I've seen on the Internet, the color appears to change, depending on the lighting conditions.

Anyway I also want to order a 2016 Tundra TRD Pro Crew Max in Quicksand. The accessories I want include a spray on bedliner, remote start, black tube steps and door sill protectors. I'd like the vehicle to arrive by June and would like some tips on how to start the process. For example, should I go thru a dealer of the Toyota or some other web site to start the process. Do I have to put some money down or sign paperwork? And info would certainly be appreciated.

I really wanted the Inferno color but was surprised when Toyota didn't offer it for 2016. The quicksand color grew on me. I like it because it's low maintenance.

I just started the process of buying the TRD Pro. In fact I just got off the phone with a dealer. The dealer wasn't willing to process a special build order for me. Go figure.

Eddie you pretty much just need to find a dealer that is willing to work with you. You need to go to internet department and ask them to let you know when one will be allocated. They should be cool enough that if they know they wont get one. They can check the system and lead you too the direction where one will be

The dealer I contacted is a no go. They pulled a bait and switch and tried to sell me one of the SR5's they had on the lot and pretty much ignored my request to order a Tundra TRD Pro with the accessories I want. The Crew Max in Quicksand appears to be pretty popular in the mid-Atlantic area. The few that are allocated here are sold shortly after they are posted as new inventory.

Eddie - keep looking at other dealerships. I've been working with a few (started out on the web sales) and finally got one on board with what I want. A Pro. I kept dropping hints that I was working with other Toyota dealership in the area - usually gets their attention. This one is actually sitting down and working with me. The others that didn't I left and they will lose a sale.

By the way, what are you guys looking to spend - MSRP, Invoice, Dealer Addendum?

I usually try to work close to invoice, but I don't want to lose my chance either... guess you gotta pay to play.

Most dealers just want to make a sale, driving hundreds of miles just to find one that will order a specific truck for you will be difficult. I would ask them if they have a waiting list of people for the TRD PRO. I work for Toyota and I can't even order one for myself. It's all a waiting game, I check weekly to see if they've open it up for new orders. Unfortunately only a few TRD PRO are allocated per quarter, and they get taken up very quick.

Truck is worth $38k without the supercharger. That puts the supercharger at 3k. Not a bad deal.

    New Guy Here!

So, I've been following these "PRO" posts for a few weeks now and thought I'd chime in with my experience thus far on this topic.
25 Feb. 16 - Put deposit down on 2016 Tundra TRD PRO CM MGM and was told it would roll off the line 25 Mar. Dealership told me that this truck was supposed to go to dealership in KY and they had to trade their TRD PRO 4Runner to get it???
4 Apr. 16 - I get a call from dealership, they tell me that ALL Tundra's & Tacoma's are sitting in factory lot waiting for some 4 wheel drive component???

Has anyone else heard this crazy talk???

I'm not an expert or anything but it does sound a little crazy and over the top, but then again you never know. I'll post if they tell me something similar.
