Has anyone done this on a newer (2-3rd gen) tundra??? I know it’s a popular mod on tacos and I’ve heard of it one first gen tundras but how about the newer ones??

I’ve got a set of the springs and need a better spring pack in my truck to handle the flatbed and welder so if I can just swap out for the Chevy springs and get better load capabilities and handling that would be awesome!

I haven’t heard of anyone doing this, but.....

A good aftermarket leaf pack with overloads would be my route.

Well that’s the reasoning behind doing the Chevy swap sorta... gets you a nice spring pack on a budget and sense I’m not looking to wheel this truck but just improve payload and on road characteristics, and already have the springs... was hoping it was a possibility

Well shit man, if you have the springs, you have to give it a go. What’s the worse that can happen? Don’t fit? No big deal.

Keep us posted on what you do.

I haven’t done the measurements yet but it generally requires new spring perches welded in and different shackles. As a welder, none of that scares me but I’m not 100% sure I want to build all the parts from scratch, would like to see if anyone have done it and has a hit or at least suggestions

Hey not to dissuade you but Tundra leaf springs are already 63.375" long. It would be much easier for a heavier load to do an add-a-leaf.

Thank you! That’s the kind of info I needed... definitely not going to do all that work to get a shorter spring
