Brand new truck, sticker price was $73K and change.

I was thinking about buying one for KB VOODOO as a promotional vehicle and for a tax deduction.

The F150 market is huge, and what a great way to help tap into that, right?

    Wrong!!

First and only impression: WHAT A PIECE OF CRAP!!

All materials feel cheap, especially the interior.

Tons of gadgetry, but none of it is particularly useful. It just seems like a lot of stuff to break.

It has a more power than the Tundra, but it's not mind blowing at all. Not even close.

The V6 sounds like a Camry. I didn't even bother looking under the hood.

During the test drive, I was fiddling around with the dash center display, and somehow it went into a mode where it wouldn't let it shift out of 3rd gear. Neither the dealer nor myself could figure out how to get out of it. I had to pull over, shut the truck off, and let it reset.

In summation, this has to be the most overpriced vehicle on the planet. It's something that white trash would buy if they won the lottery.

Seems like the smartest thing to do is keep our TRD PRO Tundra, and get another Tacoma for product testing and other such things.

They might. It sounds like something they would do. It still sounded unimpressive. Nothing like the Tundra.

Hahaha, awesome. Yeah my mother in law has an F150 Ecoboost and the motor is fun, but her front axle housing broke into pieces (she never took it offroad), 4WD actuator broke, 4WD vacuum something-er-other broke, seat heaters don't work, and who knows what else she hasn't told me about.

Thanks for the write up and specifics. Probably better to get a nice F150 and add WAY too much to it for about $15K LESS, and get a better result!

A good friend of mine just bought a new F150 ecoboost. He thinks it’s a real hot rod, he’s wants to race really bad. I told him we would have a race in 2028 if that POS was still running. Needless to say he wasn’t amused :D

THIS. This is why I traded my F-150 last month. I had an Ecoboost, and man it was a blast to drive. That thing would move. I had fun with it, but the rest of the truck gave me constant trouble. 4WD actuators broke, vacuum leaks, calipers stuck more than once, transmission shifted hard all the time, and then my AC went out and they said they were going to have to remove the entire dashboard to replace the evaporator. It was hard to let go of it, because I've loved Fords for a long time. I still do, actually, but they're not what they once were and I had to accept that. I had an old 2000 F-150, and it was the most reliable one out of all the Ford trucks I've owned. Sad to say, but they've just gone downhill over the years.

This Tundra has been a real eye opener though. I feel like it's the truck I've always been looking for.

okay, you got me. lol I also liked the push button start, 35" tires, and a few other things. whole lotta switches, felt like I was in a cockpit. It is a nice truck but I wouldn't drop $77k on one

I got behind a regular cab short bed 2wd Ranger the other day, he had a sticker on his back glass that said "My truck is made by hand tools not chopsticks". I chuckled.

If the Raptor was in the $50k range, I might be slightly interested in it, but the sticker price that they carry is a slap in the face for anyone with brain cells.
