So I have recently changed my setup with 295/70R18 Toyo AT2’s on some scs wheels. Running 3/1 lift. And I’m now getting anywhere from 10-12mpg. I was getting 12-14 with my 305/65 wildpeaks so I’m wondering why my mileage dropped all of a sudden. The tire sizes are pretty similar.

Anyway please select where you at mpg wise if your running 295/70R18 tires. And comment what kind of tire.

Is there a big difference in weight?
Also there is a 1.9% change in revolutions when figuring mileage between those sizes. Not a huge difference I realize.

New setup is 5lbs more per corner.

I’ve been lifted with both size tires.

When I was running 305/65 which is a 33, I was getting 14mpg. So I’m trying figure out why such a drastic difference.

I think we might still be on winter blend. In the summers I’m usually at around 13.5 via computer. But currently I’m at around 11.5.

I have STT Pro's. I was getting right around around 11. DAP Tune got me maybe a few tenths of a mile more. Re-geared to 4.88, and I'm seeing maybe 1.5-3.0 MPG+. I've been using 91 octane for the tune for the last two months. Gonna switch back to ethanol free 88 soon. That should get me another 0.5-1.5 MPG+.

I've only had mine on 3 days but the computer is showing right at 14.0 currently. I am expecting it to settle closer to 13.5 for a full tank.

Do we even get winter blend in ca since it doesn’t get that cold here?

See that’s why I’m wondering why my mpg has suffered so much. My alignment is on point too....

Yeah we do. I think they usually switch back to summer blend around April or May.

My thing is I lost 2mpg by switching from 305/65 to 295/70. So trying to figure out how that happened... tire sizes are very close.
